The Ballad of Victor Duddley

[Verse 1 – Folk]

In old Hearthville where the church bells rang,
Where the autumn maples swayed,
Lived Victor Duddley, a gifted son,
Whose destiny was never made.

His brother Stewart wore the football crown,
His father led the college hall,
His mother Ellen prayed each night,
Not knowing darkness watched them all.

[Verse 2]

Jossette smiled beneath the moon,
Love was young and running free,
But hidden in the attic shadows,
Waited ancient jealousy.

Rachel Ramsey whispered low,
Rita’s eyes were cold as stone,
The candles died…the rafters groaned…
They swore Victor would die alone.

[Pre-Chorus – Growing Tension]

The house grew silent…

The night stood still…

Something evil climbed the hill…

[Chorus – Pop/Folk]

Oh sing the Ballad of Victor Duddley,
Child of heaven, born to fight.
They broke his body but not his spirit,
They could not steal his inner light.

Though darkness hunted every heartbeat,
Though demons gathered in the rain,
The stars remembered who he really was—
A god who walked through mortal pain.

[Verse 3 – Dark Folk]

They struck him down inside the loft,
Till every breath became a war.
Then stripped him bare of dignity,
And threw him on a Lincoln floor.

His clothes were piled above his chest,
His watch…his belt…his single shoe.
The trunk slammed shut upon the night;
No mortal soul would know the truth.

[Heavy Metal Break]

They drove…

Through broken roads…

To Smith’s old junkyard…

Among the rust…

Among forgotten steel…

They opened up…

A shattered limousine…

They threw him in…

And left him there…

TO DIE!

[Heavy Verse]

Buzzing bees around the grave!

Broken metal!

Twisted steel!

Ghosts were laughing in the darkness—

Would a demi-god still kneel?

Rachel screamed,

“Let Victor perish!”

Rita cursed his very name!

But fate had carved another ending—

Fire waited in the flame!

[Bridge – Tempo Drops]

Then Arthur Ramsey came in silence.

Donny Maxtone walked beside.

Billy Bingo searched the shadows,

Hope refusing yet to die.

One lone shoe…

One weathered belt…

One broken watch beneath the weeds.

Time itself had stopped for Victor…

Three lost days…

Three silent pleas.

[Verse 4 – Rising Hope]

Far beneath New York they carried him,

To a cave no map could find,

Where doctors worked with trembling hands,

While witches bent the laws of time.

Quentin Darko raised old prayers,

Ancient circles filled with flame,

Trying hard to bind together

Body…

Soul…

And Victor’s name.

[Metal Chorus]

CHANGE THE PAST!

BREAK THE CHAIN!

TURN THE CLOCK AGAIN!

THE SPACE WITCHES WANT HIM DEAD!

LET THEM COME!

LET THEM BLEED!

VICTOR WILL RISE AGAIN!

[Breakdown]

But Sabian Blackrock gathered power.

His coven filled the sky with fear.

Unable to find Victor’s body,

They cursed the ones he held most dear.

Ghosts climbed upward from the waters.

Demons stalked the Duddley home.

Every nightmare reached for Ellen…

Calling Victor…

Calling home.

[Soft Verse]

Victor whispered through the darkness,

Weak between both death and breath,

“Billy…

Man…

I don’t think I’ll be strong enough…

To save my mom from death.”

Billy answered,

“No, you listen.

You don’t carry this alone.”

Even broken,

Even dying,

Heroes never stand alone.

[Final Chorus – Folk with Choir]

So sing the Ballad of Victor Duddley,

Though the night was long and cold.

His flesh was broken…

His soul kept fighting…

A story older than the old.

A mother dreamed inside of Hearthville.

A son lay hidden far away.

A family bound by blood and courage

Would challenge even time one day.

[Outro – Quiet]

Some men are measured…

By wealth…

Or power…

Some by kingdoms they command.

But Victor Duddley…

Near death…

Still reached…

For his mother’s hand.

And somewhere beyond the stars,

Where Titans whisper,

Where forgotten gods still dream,

Time itself waits…

For Victor Duddley…
